Recently, account blocking has occurred frequently, such as large-scale variant illegal account scanning, TRO infringement complaints, second-instance account scanning, order fraud rectification... Now, a large-scale wave of linked store hanging is happening. It is worth noting that this wave of account blocking, which is called a new type of association, actually appeared on a small scale last year. The affected sellers are actively saving themselves, while the unaffected sellers are trembling, actively "checking for deficiencies and filling gaps" and avoiding risks!

As early as in previous years, there have been rumors in the cross-border circle that "one main payment account will lead to association". At that time, an industry insider issued a solemn reminder : If you operate multiple Amazon stores, you must not open multiple sub-accounts for payment on one payment platform, otherwise you will be subject to official scanning and all will be suspended. There is no way to save it . Recently, this rumor has spread again, and many sellers have found that the words "finances" + "phone" appear in the information of the associated account suspension :

According to the seller Xiao Zhang, he was linked to the account due to financials+phone reasons, and there was a situation where "the sub-account was bound to multiple stores for payment, and finally the funds in the sub-accounts were pooled together". He is now very worried that the account will not be recovered in the end.

 

Industry insider Xiao Li (pseudonym) said that financial means financial instruments, phone means mobile phone number, and financials+phone association is actually a collection account association. At present, many Amazon sellers are accustomed to binding the same collection card to different stores, or binding too many sub-accounts to a collection master account. In fact, this is risky. If a store has a problem and is blocked, then other accounts for collection will most likely be associated together. Although the success rate of collection account association appeals is very high, sellers still need to be vigilant, especially since Amazon has recently strictly investigated the collection method of funds.

 

 

After the financials+phone correlation issue was exposed, sellers generally have many questions. Below are the three main questions summarized by the editor and the answers from industry insiders.

 

There is no problem with the account for the time being. Is it too late to change the payment card just in case? In fact, the opinions of industry insiders are not consistent on this issue. Some sellers believe that even if they change the payment card now, the previous payment records will not be erased. Amazon has already obtained the data, so it is meaningless to modify it, and the problem will still occur in the end; but a more common view is that although changing the payment card now cannot completely prevent the occurrence of related problems , it can at least avoid some risks for the subsequent operation of the account.

 

What payment model is the safest? The safest approach is for sellers to register a third-party payment account with different information, and one store corresponds to one payment account, that is, the store owner and the payment owner are 1v1 consistent . This prevents the associated information from being synchronized to Amazon . In addition, although sellers need to be in awe of Amazon's rules at all times, they don't have to be too cautious, because Amazon is not omnipotent enough to know all the seller's information.

 

Will there be a case of account association if payment is not collected in a standardized manner? People familiar with the matter said that sellers do not need to panic. There are actually conditions for triggering account association. First, there must be certain common intersection factors between the two stores. Second, one of the stores has been blocked. If the seller meets these two conditions, then account blocking is inevitable. Otherwise, there is no need to worry too much. This shows that sellers still need to maintain compliance operations and avoid various problems that may lead to association during the store registration process.

As we all know, according to Amazon regulations, sellers can only keep one Seller Central account for each region where they sell goods, unless they have a legitimate business need to open a second account and all accounts are in good standing. It is definitely not allowed for sellers to open a new account only to copy the goods of the original account or only to complain about other sellers' goods.

 

The consequences of store association are very serious. If two stores sell the same product, the link to the new store will be removed at best, or the account will be blocked at worst. And if it is a hardware association (logging in two accounts on the same computer will cause two stores to close at the same time), it will be very difficult to appeal after the store is closed.

 

Just as one of the conditions for the association problem to occur is that there is some connection between the two stores, the important way for sellers to avoid association is to cut off the factors that connect the two stores . Brands, credit cards, email addresses, legal persons, network environments, IP addresses, etc. are crucial.

 

In detail, each store needs to be equipped with an independent broadband network cable or a computer with an independent wireless network card. It is not recommended to use the network of a dead store ; strictly control the personnel with account login permissions, and remind relevant personnel to avoid using unencrypted public networks to log in to the seller platform or change login devices to avoid threats to account security ; each store corresponds to different standard information and different account passwords ; when FBA delivers, pay attention to the inconsistency of delivery information such as address and phone number; multiple stores should not sell exactly the same products, and product picture names, title descriptions, etc. are also better to be different; when registering a brand, the contact information of each registered website must be completely consistent with the trademark registration and Amazon backend store information (except for brand authorization) ...
