Some sellers’ orders have been reduced by nearly half! There is also a bug in Shopify backend

Imagine that you turn on your computer in the morning and log into the backend, only to find that the orders are more than half less than in the previous few days. You would probably feel disappointed instantly.

Previously, Amazon has been reported to have website crashes many times, and many sellers have said that there are abnormalities on the order page. Unexpectedly, this time it is Shopify's turn.

As one of the leading companies in the e-commerce industry, Shopify provides technology and templates for building online stores to over one million cross-border sellers, and manages omni-channel marketing, sales, payment, logistics and other services.

Shopify's servers have always been very stable and well received by users. However, due to the slowdown in revenue growth in the past two years, Shopify has added many new features to the platform in order to reverse the downward trend.

However, you can’t get everything at once, and these new features don’t seem to have been well integrated with the backend system. Recently, many sellers have reported that their backend pages have bugs.

According to these sellers, the problem mainly occurred in the background data panel, including real-time data such as orders and conversion sources, which showed obvious delays , which had a great impact on some sellers' daily analysis.

Some sellers left messages saying: “My store conversion rate data has been inaccurate recently. The data displayed is much lower than the actual data. I was really shocked when I first found out.”

"My store is in the same situation! Yesterday's conversion rate data was nearly 50% off from the actual situation . It's too exaggerated! "

“There is also a problem with the data in my Shopify App. The order data is updated very slowly, but it usually displays quickly.”

Regarding this issue, a Shopify spokesperson responded: "Thank you for the feedback from all users. We found that there is indeed a delay in the data panel. Our programmers are currently investigating the cause. We will send a new notification after the problem is fixed."

Many users expressed the hope that the data delay problem can be fixed as soon as possible, because real-time data viewing is still very important for sellers. After all, if there is any change in sales, they need to check the cause in time.
