More than 4,000 pieces sold! A domestic product on Amazon was recalled

Recently, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ( CPSC ) announced a recall of a baby recliner that was only sold on Amazon .

According to the recall notice issued by the CPSC, this product called Yoocaa baby lounger does not meet the safety requirements of the U.S. Infant Sleep Products Rule, leaving babies in an unsafe sleeping environment and exposing them to the risk of suffocation.

In addition, the side height and the opening of the fabric edge of the product all failed to meet the requirements. The sides of the product were shorter than the minimum side height requirement specified in the relevant policy; the height of the sleeping mat exceeded the maximum limit; and the infant could fall or become trapped through the closed opening of the recliner.

The recall details also mention that the product consists of a cloth cover, a foam sleeping pad and a soft cushion. It is advertised as a "baby lounger" or "baby nest" and is sold in different prints and colors, including animals, blue stars, clouds, feathers, flowers, forests, leaves, pink stars, polar bears and zoos.

The product was sold from January 2021 to May 2023. It was made and imported from China and sold only on Amazon. The retail price ranged from $30 to $55. This recall involves 4,140 items sold after June 23, 2022. The CPSC has not received any reports of accidents or injuries caused by the product.

The recall notice also shows that the words " SLEEPING SET " are printed on the label inside the recalled products . The CPSC also stated that consumers should immediately stop purchasing the recalled products and contact Yoocaa Direct to learn about the refund process. It is reported that Amazon is also contacting currently known consumers together with the sellers.

In addition, last month the CPSC also announced a recall of approximately 450,000 domestically produced baby bibs, also because the products may pose a choking risk to infants.
