Amazon sues review-brushing company again, some sellers will be “cleaned out”!

Amazon has always taken a strong stance in cracking down on fakes, not only by strictly cracking down on counterfeit and shoddy products, but also by keeping a close eye on the authenticity of product feedback.

According to foreign media reports, Amazon recently sued a company for fake positive reviews and fake orders.

The lawsuit shows that Amazon is suing a Rhode Island resident Trey King and his companies - Auction Sentinel and Sentinel Solutions .

The reason for the lawsuit is that the website AuctionSentinel.com operated by Trey King has been providing sellers with false positive reviews , artificially increasing the feedback ratings of sellers' stores on Amazon , illegally helping sellers improve product rankings and conversion rates, and making huge profits from it.

The lawsuit states that millions of consumers on Amazon use product feedback and reviews to assist in making purchasing decisions every day , but the practice of brushing orders and fake reviews erodes customer trust, unfairly competes with millions of honest businesses selling on Amazon, and tarnishes Amazon 's brand reputation .

It is reported that Auction Sentinel calls itself the " first consultant for third-party sellers " and provides services to sellers on Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Walmart .

If you want to sell and profit in e-commerce, you need a coach who has experience ‘in the game ,’ not just an Instagram or YouTube celebrity showing off a luxury car , the company claims.

Amazon believes that Auction Sentinel created fake five-star product feedback for sellers on the platform to "artificially inflate" the sellers' ratings.

On Auction Sentinel.com , it offers an "Amazon Feedback Package," which provides 10 feedbacks for $200, or a multi-review package for $700 ; it even offers a basic package and an enterprise package , which provide 10 reviews for 1 store for $300 and 100 reviews for 6 stores for $800.

In addition, the company also provides services to create " invisible " selling accounts for Amazon sellers who have been suspended or want to open multiple accounts . Auction Sentinel said that this service is provided to sellers who have been unfairly banned by Amazon .

According to the allegations in Amazon 's 19 -page lawsuit , it believes that the company has violated the Washington Consumer Protection Act and Amazon's contractual provisions , and requests the court to prohibit the man and his company from making illegal profits , and require them to hand over the list of fake orders and the profits obtained, and provide Amazon with compensation for losses and legal fees.

After Amazon filed its lawsuit, AuctionSentinel.com added a disclaimer to its website saying it does not sell product reviews ” and even highlighted its legal content under multiple service descriptions .

As of press time, the editor can still open the website, and all the services it provides can still be traded normally.

European and American legislators and regulators have repeatedly questioned Amazon's regulatory efforts. Last year , the UK competition regulator also launched an investigation into whether Amazon has taken adequate measures to protect shoppers. Based on this, Amazon has cracked down on such fraudulent behavior and has sued related companies many times .

Regulatory authorities are conducting strict inspections and Amazon is taking strict enforcement measures. While positive reviews are important, sellers must obtain feedback in a reasonable manner and not lose sight of the big picture and create losses for themselves.
