Namshi keeps moving forward and embarks on the road of e-commerce in Qatar
On June 5, 2017 , Qatar suffered a diplomatic crisis, and several Middle Eastern countries, including the UAE, announced the severance of diplomatic relations with Qatar. Under this influence, Qatar's e-commerce market is almost in a state of "self-production and self-sales", and major Middle Eastern e-commerce companies such as Amazon, Noon and Souq are unable to show their strength in the Qatari market.
In January this year, the tense relations between these Middle Eastern countries and Qatar took a turn for the better, and they gradually resumed diplomatic relations and economic exchanges with the latter. Namshi also became the first e-commerce company to open the door to Qatar's e-commerce after the thaw.
Currently, Namshi can already accept orders from Qatari consumers through its official website and mobile application. So far, Namshi has six major sites in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Qatar.
Namshi Station
Namshi was founded in 2011. The platform focuses on fashion and beauty products. The products come from more than 800 brands and have more than 5 million products. The products are divided into three major sections: women, men and children.

Hadi Badri , director of Namshi , said: "As the first e-commerce platform to enter the Qatari market after the 'ice-breaking' of relations, Namshi will provide Qatari consumers with a good online shopping experience." It is reported that Qatari consumers can receive express delivery within 3-5 days after placing an order on Namshi.
Data shows that the size of Qatar's e-commerce market will reach 3.2 billion US dollars by 2022, and fashion products are one of the most popular categories in the market. Namshi means "forward" in Arabic, and entering Qatar is a perfect display of its brand meaning.
Last year, sales exceeded 2.3 billion yuan, and Saudi Arabia became its largest market
As a local e-commerce platform in the Middle East, Namshi has developed very strongly in the local market. Under the epidemic, the number of new customers of Namshi increased by 33%, and its sales in the Saudi market increased by 50% last year.
The 2020 financial report recently released by Namshi's parent company Emaar Mall shows that Namshi's sales in 2020 increased by 28% to 1.316 billion UAE dirhams (about 2.324 billion yuan). An employee of Namshi said that 70% of the company's total revenue came from the Saudi market.
Saudi Arabia is undoubtedly Namshi's largest market. In order to consolidate the market, Namshi plans to expand a dedicated, advanced warehouse in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, and will increase investment in Saudi Arabia. middle East United Arab Emirates Qatar Namshi |
