Function expansion, eBay can send coupons in batches

For consumers, price is an important factor in their purchasing decisions, and coupons are also a common means for sellers to attract customers. They can not only attract new customers, but also increase the repurchase rate to a certain extent.

eBay launched the custom coupon feature in April last year, which allows sellers to display coupon codes publicly or share them privately with buyers, and also send printed coupon codes in orders to encourage repeat purchases. Recently, eBay announced an expansion of the coupon feature, allowing sellers to send coupons in groups.

However, this feature is not free and is only available to sellers who pay extra for store subscriptions . With this feature, sellers can send coupons in batches to specific groups of buyers , set discounts for buyers based on their own circumstances, thereby establishing buyer groups, and send this coupon code to previous buyers.

Through the buyer group, the role of coupons can be brought into play to a greater extent, mainly in the following three aspects:

Loyalty: Sellers can send coded coupons to groups of old customers who have purchased before, which can enhance customer stickiness and increase repurchase rates .

Flexibility: Offering discounts without lowering the price of your product gives sellers more flexibility in pricing.

Open up new opportunities: Sellers can customize the grouping of buyer groups, send targeted promotions based on their characteristics, and maintain buyers in a refined manner.

Sellers can send coded coupons via email and mobile app notifications. It is worth noting that each buyer can only receive one coded coupon from the same seller within 14 days , and sellers need to screen buyers to ensure maximum effect.

On the other hand, sellers can also monitor the conversion of coupon activities through the marketing center and measure the success of such advertising promotions based on specific data reports.

After the number of new users has declined, eBay is currently changing its market positioning, launching various special services and maintaining old customers. Relevant sellers should also pay more attention to platform trends and adapt to the platform's development rhythm.
