Amazon's top shopping search categories for 2022 announced

According to foreign media reports, recently, Google shopping expert Bidnamic released the " 2022 Google Shopping Trends Report". It is reported that the report provides retailers and brands with insights on how to succeed in their Google shopping campaigns.

 

The report combines its own data with external research and sources to include the main issues that have affected the e-commerce landscape over the past year, from supply chain difficulties and Amazon's dominance to China's market share and shifts in consumer shopping behavior, while also looking ahead to the development of online stores in 2022 .

 

Bidnamic analysis showed that Google served 8 billion impressions to customers , with impressions increasing in 17 of the 20 categories tracked.

 

In order to become a strong competitor for audiences on Google Shopping , Amazon increased its total impression share on the Google platform by more than 50 % in 2021 .

 

Among them, the demand growth for home office products is higher than the average level of other categories . For example , in 2021 , the impression share of this category of Amazon in Google Shopping increased from 54% in 2020 to 71% . The camera category also increased from 45% in 2020 to 69% .

 

In addition, the impression share of Amazon pet products also increased to 68% ; and the impression of toys , games and infant categories also increased from 48% to 67% . The data shows that parents invest more in the education and entertainment of infants and young children who cannot go to school or need care .

 

Google shopping expert Bidnamic said that with the gradual lifting of the epidemic blockade, online sales have basically returned to pre -epidemic levels. As online shopping consumption continues to increase, competition for search traffic will also become more intense.

 

By 2022, Bidnamic expects ad budgets to shift toward paid search, with costs per click rising and more shoppers turning to Google to find the best deals.

 

As global markets continue to be volatile, Google Shopping’s proven resilience will make the platform indispensable for online retailers and brands.
