Polish e-commerce company Allegro's revenue in 2021 exceeded 1.14 billion euros

Recently, the Polish e-commerce platform Allegro announced its 2021 performance report. It is reported that Allegro's revenue in 2021 reached 1.14 billion euros , an increase of 33.9% compared with the previous year . At the same time, the company also expects its revenue to maintain the same growth rate in 2022 .

 

According to the financial statements released by Allegro , Allegro currently has about 15.5 million active users and about 133,000 merchants on the platform . The rapid development of the Allegro platform has made it a strong competitor to Amazon in Poland.

 

More than 250 million types of products

Francois Nuyts, CEO of Allegro, said : There are more than 15.5 million active buyers on Allegro , which is almost half of all Internet users in Poland. Sellers can choose the products they need from more than 250 million products from about 133,000 merchants.”

 

Over the past year , Allegro has made significant progress in preparing for future growth . In the future, Francois Nuyts said that Allegro will not slow down, they will continue to improve the platform's service standards in Poland, and are working hard to lay the foundation for further expansion in international markets.

 

Allegro's total merchandise turnover in 2021 was 9.09 billion euros                                                 

The platform's GMV increased by 16.7% to 2.7 billion euros in the fourth quarter compared with the same period last year . The total GMV for 2021 was 9.09 billion euros.

 

Expanding payment services

Allegro has launched several services in the past few years, including Allegro Pay, a "buy now, pay later" payment method launched by the platform. In 2021, Allegro Pay issued approximately 426.5 million euros in loans to platform consumers . According to the financial report , this payment method increased the GMV of each active buyer by 0.67 euros. Compared with the previous year, it increased by 18%.

 

Expanding in logistics

Allegro has also been investing in fulfillment centers and logistics services . Allegro consumers can now choose the nearest outlet to pick up their orders from 50,000 pickup points. Allegro logistics has become the most extensive outlet in Poland . In 2022, the company will continue to expand its logistics services and work hard to improve its delivery capabilities.

 

Allegro Chief Financial Officer Jon Eastick said: " We expect GMV and adjusted EBITDA in 2022 to be in line with 2021. "
