USPS Connect Launches Next-Day Delivery Option

According to foreign media reports, USPS is launching a new service called USPS Connect, which will provide businesses with a range of delivery solutions that leverage ongoing network improvements, new equipment, new pricing and enhanced operational precision to meet changing business needs.

“USPS Connect gives businesses of all sizes what they’ve been asking for – an affordable way to meet consumer demand for fast delivery ,” said Louis DeJoy , U.S. Postal Service General and CEO .

The new program offers several options to help businesses of all sizes meet growing consumer demand for affordable, fast local, regional and national delivery and returns.

1. USPS Connect Local . This is a new way for local businesses to quickly reach local customers at a low price. It will be available in select areas starting today. This service provides affordable next-day service in all areas, with same-day delivery, Sunday delivery and pickup options in select areas.

It is understood that this service also includes USPS Connect Local Mail, which can get higher discounts for documents not exceeding 13 ounces . Businesses can enter mail at the receiving dock of designated postal facilities or take advantage of free en route pickup service when the carrier delivers the mail. Free low-cost bags, boxes and envelopes are available through Click-N-Ship.

2. USPS Connect Regional provides next-day regional entry and delivery service for Select Package and Select Lightweight Package. Businesses should consult with a USPS representative to determine the entry point and options that are best for them. Most packages will be delivered the next day within the designated broad area.

3. USPS Connect National provides delivery solutions for businesses of all sizes. They can benefit from the Postal Service’s new mail handling equipment and reconfigured network, receiving reliable package delivery through First Class Package Service, Package Select Ground and Retail Ground.

4. USPS Connect Returns is a service that provides businesses with convenient returns, which can be picked up by the carrier en route for free or dropped off at a nearby post office.
