To become an excellent Amazon operator, which is more important, luck or strength?

To become an excellent Amazon operator, which is more important, luck or strength?

Whether it is a company's internal assessment or a job interview, the standard for judging Amazon's operational capabilities is generally based on performance , which comprehensively considers the sales and profits of the products in charge. If an Amazon operation has excellent performance as a reference, many companies will extend an olive branch.

Recently, an Amazon operator with three years of experience lamented: "My performance is not as good as the one who has just been in the company for half a year. It seems that this newcomer has better luck." Take the promotion of a new product as an example. In the same category, the product that a colleague is responsible for quickly became the number one new product, while the product that he is responsible for, although he has been working hard, has performed mediocrely. This situation is really worrying.

The situation this operator encountered is not an isolated case. The performance of Amazon operations is not only related to the strength of the operator itself, but also luck is very important. Some operators who have just entered the industry happen to be assigned good products and put them on the shelves before the peak season or big promotions, so the products are quickly promoted. However, some people who have been working in Amazon operations for several years have not seen much improvement in their performance despite their hard work.

We have to admit that there are some people who are extremely lucky, whether they are working in Amazon operations in a company or quitting their job to start an Amazon business. However, there are also operators who believe that working on Amazon is actually a process of constantly filling in the gaps, and those who are not so lucky have to rely on their own strength to fill the gaps they encounter in the operation process.

It is worth noting that every product on Amazon will go through the new product period, growth period, maturity period and decline period. After the new product is launched, the subsequent maintenance is equally important. For a new product, a bad review or a shortage of stock is enough to make it fall off the list. There are also many products that perform well in the new product period and fall off the list after the new product period.

It can be seen that luck plus strength can indeed make an Amazon operation successful. However, luck alone without strength will not go far on this road. The way is to be down-to-earth, gradually accumulate experience, and improve strength.
