Amazon debuts at China International Import Expo to help accelerate the development of Chinese e-commerce

It is reported that the 4th China International Import Expo officially opened in Shanghai on November 4. Amazon made its debut at this China International Import Expo and exhibited in the clothing trade exhibition area with the theme of "Meet the World in a Box".

 

Amazon's participation in the China International Import Expo aims to fully demonstrate the new services that Amazon Global Shopping provides to Chinese consumers. By displaying high-quality products from multiple sites such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan, Amazon's cross-border online shopping service capabilities will be demonstrated. While serving Chinese consumers, it will also promote the further development of China's e-commerce industry.

 

Li Yanchuan, Vice President of Amazon China and Head of Amazon Global Shopping China, said: " We are honored and excited to participate in the CIIE for the first time. Amazon Global Shopping is not only a witness to the rapid development of the cross-border e-commerce industry in China, but also a participant and enabler. Amazon Global Shopping has been committed to promoting localized innovation, while helping the ecological development of the cross-border e-commerce industry and integrating it with the vigorous development of China's overall consumer market . "

 

In addition, Li Yanchuan also stated that Amazon will soon provide Chinese consumers with Amazon special offers. Li Yanchuan pointed out: "With the arrival of the CIIE, we will also bring Amazon's longest global shopping season to Chinese consumers. Among them, Amazon's most unmissable carnival at the end of the year, the 'Black Friday' event, will be launched on November 19, and the 'Overseas Outlet' section will be officially launched on the Amazon China official website, bringing more global goods and super value offers to Chinese consumers."

 

According to the 2020 China Cross-border Online Shopping Trend Insights report jointly released by Amazon Global Shopping and Baidu in 2021 , China's cross-border online shopping shows a trend of continuous expansion in user scale and consumption power, the trend of younger cross-border online shopping is prominent, health and quality consumption are normalized, and experience and service continue to be important factors affecting user choices. Cross-border online shopping has gone beyond meeting basic living needs and has become one of the ways to achieve quality life after the epidemic. Amazon's appearance at the CIIE and its vigorous promotion of preferential activities are believed to be a major boost to the development of China's e-commerce.
