As an important part of the overseas market of Tmall Double 11 Global Carnival Season, AliExpress, a cross-border retail platform under Alibaba, announced that it will officially launch a two-day Double 11 event for global consumers at 16:00 Beijing time on November 11 (00:00 Pacific Time on November 11) . It is understood that the number of sellers participating in the event this year has increased by 30% compared with last year , and more high-quality and low-priced products will be efficiently and quickly delivered to overseas consumers through AliExpress.

AliExpress continues to innovate the shopping experience. This year, we have launched creative local activities in major markets around the world, including the first Double 11 party in France . In addition, shoppers around the world have begun to expect efficient delivery . This year, AliExpress and Cainiao invested more than 300 chartered flights and additional manpower and costs during the Double 11 period to ensure that Chinese cross-border merchants can guarantee logistics timeliness without increasing costs; and reduce carbon emissions through innovative logistics solutions. "

 

Add overseas warehouses, increase the on-time rate to 90 % and above

 

In the past year, the number of parcels received and delivered by AliExpress's logistics network has increased by 100 % . In order to better meet the increasing demand, AliExpress has established 5 preferred warehouses in China with its ecological partner Cainiao for merchants to prepare goods in advance, thus greatly shortening the delivery time. In addition, 9 domestic automatic sorting centers have been established , with an average of 80 chartered flights per week to ensure that goods can be delivered in key markets within X days.

 

In order to ensure the delivery time of overseas consumers and truly break the cross-border barriers , on the eve of Double 11 this year , AliExpress strengthened the layout of overseas warehouses in the European market, adding warehouses in Germany, France, Italy and other countries, and it is estimated that the order on-time rate will increase to 90% or more . Ensure that local deliveries in Spain and France can be completed within three days, and local deliveries in other parts of Europe can be completed within seven days. Next year, overseas warehouses will also be significantly upgraded, with a focus on local logistics.

 

At the same time, AliExpress has also joined hands with Cainiao Global Parcel Network to officially open seven distribution centers located in Liege, Belgium, Madrid, Spain, Paris, France, Bremen, Germany, Rome, Italy, Budapest, Hungary, and Moscow, Russia. The peak sorting capacity of the four distribution centers in Spain, France, Germany and Italy is about 500,000 parcels per day .

Faced with the massive orders during the Double 11 promotion , the logistics pressure will be significantly higher than usual . Against this backdrop, AliExpress still proposes a deterministic time-efficiency plan in key countries . During the Double 11 period (November 11 to 30), AliExpress and Cainiao will deploy a total of more than 300 charter flights. In the case of cross-border transportation , parcels sent from the cross-border preferred warehouse to the Spanish and French markets will be provided with a logistics time efficiency guarantee of 10-12 days , and compensation will be paid for any delay .

 

Continuously promoting sustainable development solutions, AliExpress hopes to further reduce the carbon emissions of each order during this year's Double 11. One of the highlights of this year's Double 11 is the combined delivery of packages from the same consignee, which not only improves delivery speed but also reduces carbon emissions in this way. Another green initiative is the newly established self-pickup service network in Spain, France, Poland and Russia. In addition to helping reduce carbon footprint, these self-pickup cabinets also provide consumers with a more convenient and flexible pickup method and shopping experience.

 

Localized marketing plan for the European market

 

As a promoter of Double 11 overseas , AliExpress tried to hold a Double 11 party in the French market for the first time this year for local consumers . This is also the first time that the Double 11 party has gone international.

 

According to reports, the French Cat Night is a cultural program jointly organized by local TV stations, and famous French DJs such as Bob Sinclair, Mara, Soso Mannes and Vladimir Kokmal were invited to participate. At the scene, AliExpress arranged 4 themed pop-up stores for different groups of people to showcase China's high-quality products. In addition, the French Cat Night has added interactive experience projects, and all attendees can participate without makeup. Moreover, on Double 11 , in the Spanish market, AliExpress will also open a new physical store in the ancient city of Seville in the south . This is also the sixth offline store built by AliExpress and its partners in Spain . At present, all offline stores will launch special promotions on Double 11 , so that Spanish consumers can not only enjoy the online carnival, but also experience the joy of shopping offline.
