Amazon has another bug, causing multiple sellers to exceed their advertising budgets

Recently, many sellers reported that Amazon advertising expenses exceeded their budgets:

"I gave a budget of $120 for advertising, but today the cost is over $1,514.04. It's okay that the advertising cost exceeded 10 times, but the order cost only exceeded 1 times."

"I set it to 260, and it ran 6600..."

The editor learned that the sellers' advertising fees exceeded the budget by more than one time, five times, ten times, and even dozens of times. Some sellers said that the deductions were crazy and they were shocked by the frequency of deductions.

Some people consoled them by saying that the data was too good and that they would definitely see a huge increase in orders! However, some sellers complained that they did not earn enough to pay for the advertising.

However, some sellers reported that not all categories were affected and some categories were not affected.

As for the sudden increase in advertising fees, someone opened a case to ask customer service why, and the response was this: There was an issue with ad display, which may cause budget updates to be delayed and ads to be over budget. The issue has been resolved and your invoice will be adjusted based on any overdelivery caused by the issue.

In addition, some sellers received an email showing: Please note that the fees we charge you each month will not exceed the average daily budget of your campaign. Your invoice will be adjusted for any overdelivery so that you will not be charged any fees in excess of the monthly charging limit.

Amazon explains it this way: bills are counted and deducted on a monthly basis. It doesn't matter if you spend more than you want in one day. You can just reduce advertising costs next time. The problem will be solved when the total monthly expenses match the set budget.

According to this logic, if the seller's final monthly expenses do not exceed the total budget, then it is very likely that they will not receive compensation this time. Last year, there was also a situation where advertising expenses exceeded the budget by a large margin. At that time, almost no one was able to successfully apply for compensation, and the probability is the same this time. Despite this, it is best for the sellers involved to open a case as soon as possible, and Amazon may compensate.

Finally, the editor would like to remind you that although it is a holiday, foreigners do not have holidays. Sellers should also pay attention to store sales, advertising, important emails, etc., and develop the habit of checking the background frequently to discover and handle abnormalities in time to avoid unnecessary losses.
