The seller was maliciously returned and was subsequently blocked and warned?

Returns have always been a headache for Amazon sellers, and malicious returns are even more troublesome. Recently, another seller shared his " Kafkaesque " return experience.

According to the seller, he has been selling products on Amazon for three years, mainly using FBA for delivery, and FBM as a supplement when out of stock occurs. The seller mainly deals in the food category, and recently received a complaint order due to shelf life issues.

Food has a shelf life, and as long as it is sold within the shelf life, there is no problem. After a seller bought a product, he found that the shelf life was only two and a half months, so he was dissatisfied that it could not last him long enough to use the product, and hoped that the shelf life could be more than a year.

The buyer then applied for a return and used "expired product" as the reason for the complaint . After Amazon intervened, it asked the seller to explain what happened and how to avoid this problem. The seller also clarified the situation truthfully, proving that the product still had a shelf life of more than two months and stated that food with a shelf life of less than 6 months would be removed from FBA and FBM.

However, Amazon stated that the seller did not answer the question properly and asked the seller to explain again. The seller repeated it again, but was still deemed to have not responded seriously ... and stated that if this happened again, the seller would face the risk of having his account blocked.

The seller expressed confusion and did not know what kind of response Amazon wanted. He was also considering whether to continue selling on Amazon.

Sellers also said they are not surprised by such cases.

Seller A: No matter what evidence you provide, Amazon will not think that the customer is lying. You can only admit that you shipped an expired product.

Some sellers also put forward their own suggestions: Although my products have a shelf life of up to one year, I am constantly updating my inventory so that all products can be sold within 4 months, which can ensure that the food will not expire for at least 8 months.

Not only is food subject to strict auditing, but various problems are also prone to occur during the sales process. In the face of such malicious returns, sellers can only accept the consequences.

Moreover, Amazon recently introduced a new return policy, extending the holiday return period, which has caused sellers to complain again and again. They all said that they can only hope not to encounter weird customers.
