Red Balloon's annual turnover exceeded $60 million in 2015. The website has about 1,000 suppliers from Australia and New Zealand, providing 3,000 different products for sale. In 2001, Naomi Simson, the founder of Red Balloon, spent only $25,000 of her savings to build the initial version of the Red Balloon website. In just two years, Red Balloon achieved sales of over one million.
