Foreign media reported that Rotaro will launch the brand's first pop-up rental store this summer . The store will open in central London for two months starting on June 14. The store will accommodate the most sought-after brands such as Rotate, JW Anderson, House of Sunny, Stine Goya, Anouki, Materiel Tibilisi, Stand Studio, etc.
Customers can rent items in-store and collect them the same day, or try on garments and reserve them for a future date. The store will also feature smart screens where customers can browse Rotaro's full range online and have them delivered to their door. Rentals start from £14-70 for four days.
Rotaro said nothing from the store would go to landfill, packaging would be biodegradable and recyclable, floral installations would be replanted, and furniture, technology and artwork would be rented for the store.
Rotaro will be working with online accessible art platform Partnership Editions to curate a rotating programme of exhibitions throughout the pop-up shop. Sharing Rotaro’s values of accessibility, curation and good design, Partnership Editions artworks created by emerging artists will be available to view in the shop and to purchase via a dedicated section on the Partnership Editions website , with prices starting from £220.
“We want to use the store as a space for collaboration, inspiration and education,” said Georgie Hyatt, co-founder of Rotaro. “We want to provide a space to bring our community together, host events, panels, workshops and help our community on their circular fashion journey. ”
To launch the space, we curated a group show of artwork by Adriana Jaros, Alessandra Chambers, Ruby Kean, Jessic a Yolanda Kaye, Zahra Holm, Emily Forgot and Laurie Maun, said Georgia Spray, founder of Partnership Editions .
Rotaro will also work with Futerra to bring the future of fashion in-store to life. The space will be transformed into an educational, inspiring and engaging hub, brought to life through interactive digital technology, helping customers consume fashion more mindfully.
Rotaro 's upcoming store is classified as a gathering place for second-hand goods, which is not only environmentally sustainable, but also a manifestation of economic sustainability. It is reported that the summer pop-up store will be open at 45 Carnaby Street in London until August 20 . Rotaro U.K. second hand |
