Q: Why does the shipment tracking show "ETA - Uncertain"?

A: If the ETA for your shipment cannot be determined due to the feeder/connecting vessel schedule not being finalized, the system will display the message “Estimated Time of Arrival at Final Destination – Undetermined”. For more information, please contact your local ZIM agent directly.

Q: I have a bill of lading number, but why can't I track my shipment?

A: We only update our tracking system once the vessel has left port. Please refer to the schedule page to find the vessel's expected departure date.

Q: How can I track my shipment online?

A: You can track your shipment at any time using the "Find Shipment" tool on the bottom left of the screen. Simply enter your booking number, bill of lading (B/L) number or container number, which you can find in the document that ZIM has sent you. Do not leave spaces when entering each number.

Q: Can I ship dangerous goods via ZIM?

A: Our global team is experienced in transporting a wide range of dangerous or sensitive cargoes, and we ensure full compliance with international safety standards. That said, there are some cargoes we cannot transport for legal, environmental or ethical reasons. For those who are unsure about the type of cargo, please contact us for more information.
