What is the Payment Service Provider Program (PSPP)? Payment Service Provider Program (PSPP) Review, Features

On February 2, 2021, Amazon officially launched the "Payment Provider Program" to further enhance the ability to detect, prevent and deal with non-compliant behaviors, thereby protecting consumers and sellers from fraud and other violations. Sellers who use payment providers to collect payments should choose payment providers participating in the program. We hereby notify you so that you can change or contact your payment provider in advance according to the actual situation.

Plan details

1. What do sellers need to do?

  • If you do not use a payment provider and instead receive payments using your bank account, you do not need to take any action.
  • If you choose a payment service provider that has already participated in this program, you do not need to take any action. Amazon will continue to introduce high-quality payment service providers to participate in this program and continue to update relevant information on the page below. • Starting from March 1, 2021, when sellers add new payment accounts provided by payment service providers, they should choose payment service providers participating in this plan.
  • If your payment provider is not yet participating in the Payment Provider Program, we recommend that you contact them to find out if they plan to join the program. If they do not plan to participate, you should switch to another payment provider that participates in the program or change it to an account you open directly with a bank before May 31, 2021.

2. What will happen if sellers continue to use payment service providers that are not participating in the plan after May 31, 2021?

  • After May 31, 2021, if sellers continue to use accounts provided by payment service providers that are not participating in the program to receive payments, your funds reserve period will be extended to up to 21 days after the estimated latest delivery date. • Starting July 15, 2021, Amazon will stop paying sellers who use payment providers that are not participating in this program.

3. If the seller is using Amazon's global payment service, what needs to be done?

If you are using Amazon Currency Converter to receive payments from your Amazon store sales directly into your bank account in China, you do not need to take any action.

4. If the seller has questions about his bank account, who should he contact?

For questions about bank accounts opened by payment service providers, you should first contact the payment service provider. If you have confirmed that your bank account is provided by a participating payment service provider, but still have problems setting up the account as your Amazon payment account, you can submit a question through Seller Central -> Help -> Get Support to contact the Amazon Seller Partner Support team. It is reported that the four payment companies currently participating in the plan are World First, Payoneer, Lianlian Pay, pingpong, and Amazon's official payment collection, a total of 5 companies.
