The cancellation of the early reviewer plan has been confirmed!

Today, many sellers received emails from Amazon confirming the cancellation of the early reviewer program.

Since then, the news that has been hyped for a while has finally been finalized. Many sellers have said that this time they really have to say goodbye.

Confirmed! The Early Reviewer Program has been officially cancelled

A week ago, news that Amazon was going to cancel the early reviewer program spread widely in the industry. The news came from a screenshot of a conversation between a seller and Amazon customer service.

According to the response from Amazon customer service, starting March 5, 2021, Amazon will no longer allow new registrations for the Early Reviewer Program, and will stop providing this service to sellers currently registered for the program on April 20, 2021.

As soon as the news came out, it caused widespread discussion among sellers:

“——For people like me who don’t post fake reviews, it’s even more difficult to promote new products.”

"——It should have been cancelled long ago. Charging a sixty-dollar commission is cruel!"

“——Amazon is planning to make money from the reviews themselves, not giving it to the service providers, and not even giving it to the buyers.”

“—Cancel the early reviewer program and push rule-abiding people further away.”

"——It doesn't matter. I haven't used it anyway."

However, although the news has caused heated discussions among sellers, Amazon has not made any official notification or released any related news.

Just when sellers thought Amazon would not take any action, the hammer fell. Today, many sellers reported that they had received emails from Amazon.

A seller on the US site said that the news that Amazon is going to cancel the early reviewer program has been circulating for some time, and he has now received an email from the official website.

Another seller on the Japanese site also received an official email from Amazon's early reviewer team.

From a screenshot of the Early Reviewer Program control panel posted by another seller, we can see that the Early Reviewer Program is about to be abolished. From March 10, 2021, Amazon will no longer allow any new registrations of products.

In addition, as of June 30, 2021, the control panel page will still display the seller's past registration information. After this date, sellers can go to "Seller Central" > "Data Reports" > "Payments" > "Transaction Overview" to obtain information about their past Early Review Program transactions.

With the final word, some sellers who have not used the program have expressed a little regret, while some sellers who have received the early reviewer program are grateful and hope to be invited to a few more before it is completely discontinued in April.

Novelty! Even Trump Buddha statues can be sold? !

In addition to the early deactivation of the reviewer function, Amazon sellers never forget to sell good Chinese products to foreigners. In addition to the spittoon, there is another thing that makes everyone feel very novel - this is the Trump Buddha statue.

The statue of Trump is used as a table decoration, with some Chinese cultural elements added to it. It looks like it is in deep thought and meditation, which gives a very peaceful feeling. It is also known as the "Buddha of the Western Paradise". Do you get this feeling? The seller understands the characteristics of this product too well, and has integrated Chinese and Western cultures vividly, and you can also feel the joy of the product.

I wonder if this product will become the next spittoon and become popular overseas? However, sellers should note that this Buddha statue has been patented, so sellers who want to sell it should pay attention to copyright issues.

Amazon may remove popular collars from shelves after killing 1,700 cats and dogs

In addition to copyright issues, the safety of overseas products is also a concern for Amazon.

Pet products sold well last year, and this year's hot sales are also expected. Popular pet collars related to pet and human health have also been targeted by US investigation agencies ...

Amazon said this week it will consider whether to continue selling a popular brand of flea collars and will actively monitor related stores for product safety issues after media reports said the collars were linked to more than 75,000 pet injuries and nearly 1,700 pet deaths.

Developed by German pharmaceutical giant Bayer and later sold to Elanco Animal Health, these external deworming collars work by releasing small amounts of insecticide into the animal over several months at a time. The insecticide in the collars is supposed to kill fleas, ticks and other pests, but is safe for cats and dogs.

Previously, according to EPA documents, the collars were linked to at least 1,698 pet deaths, 75,000 pet injury incidents, and hundreds of human injuries over an eight-year period, from 2012, when the product first came on the market, to June 2020.

An Amazon spokesperson said: "The company is investigating the product in question, the Seresto collar is Amazon's best-selling flea collar. We actively monitor our store for product safety issues, including customer feedback and product reviews, and take proactive steps to prevent unsafe or non-compliant products from being listed. When appropriate, we remove products and engage with suppliers, manufacturers, and government agencies to obtain more information. "

Over the past few years, dozens of people have claimed on Amazon that collars have caused their pets to experience rashes, neurological problems and other adverse symptoms. A large number of consumers have given negative reviews after using regular products due to poor product experience.

While most reviews of the collar on Amazon are positive, dozens have raised concerns about pets being harmed by the collar. Pet owners have also posted incidents with the collar on social media and other pet-related websites.

Amazon selects Avask as tax services provider

Amazon announced that it is adding AVASK as a tax service provider for Amazon VAT services. This is a new option for companies outside Europe to register for VAT.

The announcement states that AVASK is an international accounting and tax expert firm specializing in global e-commerce expansion, international tax, accounting and business consulting and advisory services. The company provides support in English, Mandarin, French, Spanish, Italian and German, and has local staff in each tax jurisdiction.

The announcement highlights that each of the tax provider’s compliance officers in the UK /China is an expert in European VAT and is supported by an additional local expert.

Now, when sellers register for VAT Services on Amazon, they can see the available tax service providers (including AVASK) and select their preferred service provider before starting the VAT registration (or transfer) process.

It is reported that Amazon provides a free subscription for the first year of this service, including VAT registration, VAT declaration and fiscal agency, until April 30, 2021. At the same time, sellers can also obtain a UK or EU EORI number or both for free. (An EU EORI number can be applied to all European countries)

The announcement reminds that the free EORI service is provided by the seller's tax service provider. The seller's tax service provider will also determine the applicable countries in Europe to apply for the EU EOS number.
