-In 1995, Constant Contact was founded as a touring software company and changed its name to its current name in 1998.

-In May 2008, Constant Contact made its first acquisition of e2M Systems, an event management system for seminars, workshops and conferences of all sizes.

-In May 2010, the company acquired NutshellMail, providing its customers with tools to access social media networks from within their email inboxes.

-In 2011, it opened its first office outside the United States in the United Kingdom.

-In 2011, Constant Contact acquired Bantam Networks for $15 million in cash, adding social CRM capabilities.

-In 2011, average monthly customer growth was nearly 20%, revenue per customer increased 4%, and sales increased by nearly a quarter to $214 million.

-In early 2012, it launched Social Events to help customers create and run Facebook events.

-In January 2012, Constant Contact acquired CardStar, which provides mobile applications for loyalty cards and coupons. Its Bantam Live application provides a place for small businesses to launch and monitor customer engagement campaigns on social media platforms.

-In 2013, Constant Contact had revenue of $284.4 million, operating income of $83 million, net profit of $72 million, and a total of 1,235 employees.

-In April 2014, Constant Contact released Toolkit, an all-in-one online marketing platform that integrates multi-channel marketing functions, including email marketing, social media, mobile marketing and internet marketing.

-In November 2015, Constant Contact International acquired Constant Contact for US$1.1 billion.
