The first batch of vaccine recipients had side effects! The Japanese government said that vaccine-related deaths will be compensated 2.7 million

Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare announced on the 20th that two people who received the new coronavirus vaccine developed symptoms such as urticaria and chills, which were suspected to be side effects .

It is reported that pre-vaccination for medical staff began from the 17th. Medical staff in various parts of Japan were vaccinated with the new crown vaccine jointly developed by Pfizer of the United States and Biontech of Germany. It was implemented in 100 places across the country, including national hospitals and institutions .

Japanese Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Norihisa Tamura said in parliament on the 19th that if someone dies from the new crown vaccine, regardless of whether the cause of death is related to the medical institution's negligence in vaccination, 44.2 million yen in compensation (about 2.7 million yuan) can be received. In addition, the Japanese government will also pay 209,000 yen as funeral expenses.

If the vaccine causes a grade 1 disability and the patient over 18 years old needs long-term hospitalization and care, the compensation will be approximately 5.05 million yen per year. If the patient chooses to receive care at home, the compensation will be an additional 840,000 yen per year.

However , on the 19th, medical staff who received the vaccine at Toyama Industrial Injury Hospital (Uozu City, Toyama Prefecture) developed symptoms of urticaria . According to the hospital, one person developed symptoms of urticaria on the skin and in the mouth after the vaccination .

According to Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, another person who received the vaccine developed symptoms of chills and shivers , and information such as the vaccination site is still under investigation.

It is reported that this is the first suspected adverse reaction after vaccination announced by the government since Japan launched the new crown vaccination. However, they only developed discomfort symptoms two days after the injection of the vaccine, and it is not certain whether it is directly related to this vaccine.

Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare said it is currently collecting cases of suspected side effects after vaccination and called on the public to stay on site for observation for more than 15 minutes after vaccination .

When the vaccine came out, people began to worry about possible side effects of the vaccine, but it is undeniable that the production and vaccination of the vaccine is definitely good news, so everyone should also do a good job of personal protection, maintain confidence, and wait for official news.
