Steps to choosing a medical marijuana product Vireo Health's team - comprised of leading physicians, scientists, and cultivation experts, has developed a user-friendly 3-step process to help determine the best cannabis product for the user. (Products vary by state) 1. Choose the Vireo product line - Vireo Health’s pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, patient care advisors and budgeters, will work closely with users to determine which product types are best suited to the user’s desired health or wellness outcomes;
- Vireo Health's plant cultivators and scientists develop products for each Vireo product line that contain consistent and predictable amounts of the two most common active ingredients found in cannabis: THC and CBD. Together, these cannabis-derived chemicals have greater effects than when administered alone, and CBD can improve many of the side effects commonly experienced by THC users;
- Recently, Vireo Health has begun to focus on the lesser-known cannabinoids – cannabinol and cannabigerol – also known as CBN and CBG, respectively. Vireo Health is now proud to offer CBN as Vireo Spectrum™ softgels, which we call Moonlight.
2. Select Vireo product type - Each color in the Vireo Spectrum™ represents a unique product line, and based on the user’s qualifying medical conditions, Vireo Health’s specially trained pharmacists will help recommend a product line that meets the user’s unique needs;
- For example, patients experiencing chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting often benefit from products associated with Vireo Health’s THC-dominant product line (black, red, silver and yellow), while patients with neurological conditions such as epilepsy often benefit from products associated with our CBD-dominant product line (blue, indigo and purple).
3. Start low and go slow - Vireo Health cares deeply about the user experience and is particularly sensitive to patients who are not yet familiar with cannabis-derived products. To minimize risk, Vireo Health supports the philosophy of “starting low and taking it slow”.
- This means Vireo Health recommends starting with a very low dose and waiting a long time for it to work, which is a similar approach to safe dosing for many other traditional medications.
