What is Work with Amazon Alexa? Work with Amazon Alexa Review, Features

Works with Amazon Alexa is a certification program that ensures customers have the best smart home experience. When a seller's product is certified, it can carry the Amazon Alexa badge in the Amazon Smart Home Store and on product packaging.

Origin

In June 2015, device manufacturers were able to use the Alexa API provided by Amazon to enable their devices to support Alexa.

Acquisition process

It mainly targets the Amazon device accessories category. Sellers need to submit a "test description" through the developer platform. A round of testing takes 10 days. If the product fails, the testing agency will provide the fault information to the supplier. Products that pass the test can get WWAA certification and can be displayed in the Amazon Smart Home Store. This badge will also be displayed in the search results and detail pages, as shown below:

Get time

It takes at least one month to complete the Alexa certification process. Once testing begins, test results will be available within 10 business days. After the product is certified, the Works with Alexa badge will appear on the product's amazon.com detail page. If you need to certify a skill, it will take an additional 5 days for skill certification. If you don't have an ASIN, it may take up to 5 weeks.

Other Amazon regulations

1. The product name (the name displayed on the product or its packaging) must not contain the words "Amazon", "Kindle", "Fire", "Kindle Paperwhite", "Kindle Voyage", "Amazon Fire TV", "Fire TV Stick", "Amazon Echo" or any Amazon graphic symbol, logo, icon, or other trademark.

2. On product detail pages on Amazon, you may only use "Amazon," "Kindle," "Fire," "Kindle Paperwhite," "Kindle Voyage," "Amazon Fire TV," "Fire TV Stick," or "Amazon Echo" in reference to an Amazon device that indicates your product works with or is compatible with it. For example, acceptable product names include "Red Case for Kindle," "Red Case for Kindle," or "Red Case Compatible with Kindle."

3. If the product name or product description of the accessory product contains the words "Amazon", "Kindle", "Fire", "Fire phone", "Kindle Paperwhite", "Kindle Voyage", "Amazon Fire TV", "Fire TV Stick" or "Amazon Echo", or indicates that it can be used or compatible with Amazon devices, such products should be classified as "Amazon Device Accessories".

4. Unless with Amazon's express written permission, Sellers may not use the Amazon logo, or any other Amazon graphic symbol, logo, icon or other trademark on or in connection with the website, products, packaging, manuals, promotions or advertising, or for any other purpose.
