After announcing the first batch of blue ocean categories in 2025, it recently upgraded its on-demand customization function to make it more convenient for consumers to place orders and for merchants to make money more easily.
Customization on demand is usually called POD mode in the industry, that is, Print on Demand. According to market research agency Forbes, the global customization market has an average annual growth rate of more than 10% in recent years, and is expected to continue to maintain strong growth in the next few years .
In July last year , AliExpress launched the customization function, taking the lead in the POD track. Recently, it has added a series of practical functions to better meet the complex needs of consumers and make it more convenient for merchants to receive orders:
1. Support special shape customization : such as special shape jewelry and home textile printing, support mask layer overlay, merchants can freely combine design elements ;
2. Added font, color, material, and specification customization : Supports more consumer customization demands, and can realize more customization scenarios such as font, color, material, etc. to meet diverse demands;
3. Full-link visualization: The consumer side realizes the full-link process of ordering - inputting customized information - rendering - transaction , ensuring that the design drawing is highly consistent with the actual product, improving ordering efficiency and reducing after-sales disputes.

Customized products are a blue ocean market with huge potential . Advances in digital printing technology and supply chain optimization have lowered the entry threshold for merchants.
