Recently, many sellers have received official emails from Amazon notifying them that their store links have been removed from the shelves or even face permanent suspension .
Relevant sources said that the root cause of the above-mentioned sellers’ problems may be that the certificates (especially CPC compliance documents for children’s products) were judged to be forged.
As a cross-border person, you should know that Amazon has always paid special attention to product safety and compliance. Especially for children's toys and maternal and infant products, if you want to sell them to American consumers on Amazon , you must first obtain CPC certification.
The editor has learned that Amazon has recently stepped up its efforts to strictly check the authenticity of CPC certificates . Once the official suspects that the certificate is forged, the sales privileges of the store are likely to be removed.
Among them, some sellers chose irregular service providers for fake certification in order to save costs, which resulted in the rejection of their product sales applications and even received fraudulent warning emails, which ultimately led to the permanent deactivation of their stores.
As we all know, the Children's Product CPC Certificate is an authoritative certificate issued by a third-party laboratory recognized by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) . It is a mandatory safety certification specifically for products used by children aged 12 and under.
According to Amazon's policy, the compliance documents provided by sellers of related products must be original, authentic, and unmodified. If a product does not obtain CPC certification, it may face a series of problems such as "seizure by US Customs, refusal to ship by freight forwarders, ban on sales by Amazon and other e-commerce platforms, and mandatory recall by the Consumer Product Safety Commission."
In fact, in the past two years, there have been many cases where children's products on Amazon have been recalled or forcibly removed from the shelves due to substandard products.
For example, in June this year, 21 million MGA Entertainment Cosmic Workshop toy sets were recalled due to the presence of hazardous substances. In July, CUPKIN double-layer stainless steel children's water cups were recalled due to excessive lead content, which could cause negative effects such as developmental delays and neurological damage in children.
In addition, there are children's imitation jewelry, water babies that look like toys or candies and are easily swallowed by children, and children's bath seats that do not meet child safety standards.
Based on this, sellers must be extremely cautious when selling children's products and must not take chances. After all, if they are found out, not only will their reputation be affected, but they will also face huge economic losses.
However, some sellers pointed out that they did not know that the CPC certificate was fake when they submitted it, and suspected that they were deceived by someone with ulterior motives.
In this case, sellers do not need to worry too much. They should immediately contact the supplier to verify the situation and choose a qualified testing agency to expedite the CPC certification report and submit the real certificate within 7 days for review. If it fails, just write a complaint letter. |
