What is Amazon for Teens? Amazon for Teens Review, Features

In January 2019, Amazon launched the youth shopping program "Amazon for Teens", which allows teenagers to have their own accounts, but their orders will be paid by their parents.

About Amazon for Teens

The shopping program is aimed at minors aged 13 to 17, who will be able to "search, browse, read recommended products and place orders on their own" on Amazon. After the teenager places an order, the parent will receive details of the order via text message or email and can enter "Y" to agree to the order. Of course, they can also refuse to approve the order. Amazon also said that if parents choose to give their children a blank check, they "can also set spending limits so that their children's orders are automatically approved." Teens can also access their parents' Amazon Prime delivery accounts, Prime Video resources with thousands of TV shows and movies, and obtain "free game loot" on the retailer's streaming gaming platform Twitch Prime.

Operation Process

1. Teenagers log in to shop through their own accounts.

Teens search, browse, read recommendations and place orders on their own.

2. We will notify the parents and check the order.

Parents receive all order details via SMS or email, including item, shipment and payment information.

3. Parents approve the order.

Parents can approve certain orders by replying with a Y via text or deny orders from their account. They can also set spending limits to automatically approve orders.

4. Orders are queued for shipment.

Both the teen and the parent will be notified of the expected delivery date.
