We have already entered the fourth quarter of this year. Recently, BeautyMatter released the top 25 beauty and personal care products sold on Amazon US in the third quarter of this year.

 

Among them are many products that have been very popular on TikTok this year, as well as products that are very popular in specialty stores. These products also shined in the just-concluded autumn promotion.

 

At the top of the list is COSRX Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence, which finally defeated its rival after a whole year of hard work, followed closely by Mighty Patch and Essence Special Effect Mascara .

 

There are only three new products on the entire list : Meyer's Rain Water hand soap, Kate Blanc Cosmetics castor oil and La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer.

 

Throughout the third quarter, the proportion of skin care products in the list increased to 32%, higher than 19% in the second quarter. Most of them are body and hair care products. The second is the stable cosmetics category, accounting for 24%.

 

Amazon’s top 10 skincare products in Q3 were dominated by mass and mid-priced brands such as COSRX, Neutrogena, Panoxyl, CeraVe, and Dove. Paula’s BHA Liquid Salicylic Acid Exfoliant re-entered the top 10 skincare products after falling out of the skincare rankings in Q2.

 

The top 10 in the hair care category is still dominated by Mielle Rosemary Mint Scalp and Hair Strengthening Oil and Nizora Anti-Dandruff Shampoo, while Samnyte Hair Wax Sticks regained the third position. This year, Olaplex Conditioner did not enter the top 10 for the first time.

 

The top 10 cosmetics products are consistent with previous quarters, with Maybelline, NYX, Neutrogena and L'Oreal still the favorites of buyers. In addition, the average price of the top 10 cosmetics products dropped by 12.2% from the previous quarter to only $7.31, which is much lower than the average price of skin care and hair care products and 37.3% lower than the average price of the top 25 products of $11.65.

 

In addition, the list also mentioned that castor oil is showing a growing trend on Amazon, with a total monthly search volume of more than 700,000, an increase of 168% in the past 12 months. The number of views on TikTok related to #castor oil has also exceeded 1 billion times. Buyers on Amazon are trying to grow eyelashes, grow hair, and even lose weight through castor oil.
