PD’s single-day sales volume broke records, with sales of many small stores increasing 18 times!

Amazon's Prime Day has slowly come to an end, with some happy and some sad. But overall, the results of this year's promotion are satisfactory, and the sales on the first day set a record high for Amazon in history.

 

According to Amazon, July 11 this year , the first day of the PD promotion, became the day with the highest single-day sales in the company's history.

 

At the same time, this year's PD promotion is also a carnival for third-party sellers. Data shows that the sales growth rate of third-party sellers far exceeds that of Amazon's own products.



On the other hand, this year is also the biggest promotion for consumers to save money. Data released by Amazon shows that Prime members saved more than $2.5 billion through various discount activities this year. Saving money is particularly important when people have to tighten their belts.

 

During the two-day shopping event, Prime members purchased more than 375 million items on Amazon, making it the largest Prime Day promotion in history.

In order to boost the popularity of this year's promotion, Amazon can be said to be "discounting" and the discounts are greater than any previous PD. Among them, home, fashion and beauty products are the best-selling categories.

 

Amazon particularly emphasized that the platform's ability to provide such a large number of products for consumers to choose from is inseparable from the efforts of third-party sellers, especially those small and medium-sized sellers. This year's PD, Amazon gave more small and medium-sized sellers the opportunity to participate in the event, allowing more ordinary sellers to enjoy the joy of explosive orders.



Data shows that small and medium-sized brands such as Caraway, True Classic and Tushy saw their sales on the first day of PD surge by nearly 18 times compared to normal days. Although the overall sales are still dwarfed by those of big sellers, small sellers are already very satisfied with such results.

 

In addition to platform sellers, many independent sellers who use Buy with Prime also received a lot of goods during the promotion. This year, Amazon specially invited some independent sellers to participate in the event and even set up multiple channels to attract traffic for them. Data shows that the average sales of these independent sellers during the promotion increased by about 8 times compared with usual.

 

Now that the event is over, all sellers have to do is analyze and summarize the experience of this promotion, and then quickly adjust their status to prepare for various festivals in the second half of the year.
