I quit my job as an operator and started my own business, but ended up being a food delivery guy

In the operator's imagination, life after starting a business should be like this: sleep until you wake up naturally every day, make a pot of coffee after waking up, then turn on the computer to see how many orders were placed yesterday, and calculate how much money you earned today.

After that, I leisurely pack the products and ship them. Then the rest of the day is at my disposal. I can work out in the afternoon and have a drink with a few good friends in the evening. It’s a peaceful scene.

However, the real entrepreneurial stories are often cruel: many entrepreneurs devote themselves to Amazon business with full enthusiasm, but end up losing all their money.

The better ones can barely break even, but starting a business is much busier than working, and in the end you still earn less than working.

So some people began to doubt whether starting a business was the right decision. After struggling for half a year, some sellers finally compromised with reality and returned to being workers, while some people would rather work part-time and stick to it.

Recently, a seller named Xiao K shared his story. After working in operations for two years, Xiao K, unwilling to continue working as an employee, decided to quit his job and start his own business.

Although he had accumulated experience from previous work, when he really started to do it himself, he found that it was not the case at all. The initial investment alone made Xiao K feel overwhelmed.

In just a few months, all the savings from his previous job were gone, but the store still showed no sign of making a profit. After much thought, Xiao K decided to stick with it, so he registered as a food delivery boy and usually delivered food to cover his daily expenses.

On weekdays, after dealing with store-related matters, Xiao K opens the order-taking software and transforms himself into a delivery boy.

Most of the time, Xiao K spends much more time delivering food than running the store. Even Xiao K himself joked: "Actually, my main job is delivering food, and my side job is running Amazon."

Sometimes when the store is booming with orders, Xiao K will reward himself with a few days of rest and enjoy the joy of being a boss.

Gradually, Xiao K's shop seems to be on the right track. "I hope that one day my main job can change from being a takeaway boy to being a boss," Xiao K said, looking at the neon lights in the distance.

In fact, Xiao K's story is also a microcosm of the vast number of Amazon entrepreneurs. Behind the hard work and perseverance are people who are working hard to realize the dream of "wealth freedom".
