Amazon officially responded to the suspension of the authorized brand project

In the early morning of November 17, sellers who joined Amazon's authorized brand program suddenly received a notification from the platform stating that Amazon will stop the authorized brand program for Amazon's third-party sales partners. After March 31, 2023, sellers will not be able to sell authorized brand products. This affects all sellers' authorized brand project product selections that are currently on sale and under development.

The sellers hope that Amazon can actively and properly handle subsequent matters to reduce the negative impact of the project being cancelled, and hope to get a response from the platform as soon as possible.

Amazon has now responded to this matter as follows:

Amazon regularly updates its operational plans and continuously evaluates the progress and plans of our products and services. Based on this, we have made the decision to stop the third-party authorized brand program. We value our partnership with sellers and are committed to helping sellers in the authorized brand program solve problems encountered during the adjustment. In the past week, we have had direct and in-depth communication with hundreds of sellers affected by this authorized brand program and listened to their feedback. We have decided to make the following adjustments to the withdrawal plan of the third-party authorized brand program:

1. We will extend the operation period of the third-party authorized brand project from March 31, 2023 to September 30, 2023;

2. Amazon warehouses will continue to accept shipments created on or before January 15, 2023;

3. We will stop charging project fees for the third-party authorized brand program from December 1, 2022, but sellers can continue to enjoy the existing project rights of the third-party authorized brand program until September 30, 2023. After September 30, 2023, we will terminate the third-party authorized brand program.

There is some false and misleading information spreading in the market. We encourage sellers with questions to contact and communicate directly with the relevant team of Amazon Global Selling. Amazon will continue to maintain transparent communication with all 400+ Chinese sellers in the third-party authorized brand program and provide support.
