Amazon hopes to attract more sellers to participate in Black Friday

This year's November 24th to 28th is Amazon's annual Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping spree . It is reported that cross-border sellers in India will display more than millions of products to Amazon consumers .

According to Amazon 's Global Sales program, Indian cross-border sellers will launch thousands of new products on Amazon's global sites this year. These products cover categories such as home and kitchen, toys, clothing, health and personal care, jewelry and furniture .

Generally speaking , e-commerce sellers in India only see a surge in sales during Diwali . In an interview, Bhupen Wakankar, director of global trade at Amazon India , said: "In the United States, the shopping season has already begun , and Black Friday is the most important shopping event of the year . Our sellers from India can also participate in these activities , which is like participating in Diwali promotions . "

Previously, Amazon has significantly reduced the platform fee for new cross-border sellers joining Global Sales from $120 ($39.99 per month) to $1 for the first three months . Sellers who join the program between November 7 this year and May 6 next year can enjoy this limited-time offer.

In addition, Amazon has launched the S END project , a logistics solution that simplifies cross-border shipping for Indian cross-border sellers . Indian sellers can ship packages from India to Amazon's distribution centers in the United States. Distribution centers and shipping models in other countries will also be launched soon. Sellers using S END can book, ship and track logistics from their Amazon Seller Center .

Through the Global Sales program , Indian sellers can showcase their products to Amazon consumers in more than 200 countries . In the recently concluded Prime Early Access sales event, sales of Indian cross-border sellers increased by nearly 70%. In that event , categories such as toys, home, kitchen, clothing and groceries grew the fastest. In the 2021 Black Friday Cyber Monday sales event, Indian sellers achieved a sales surge of nearly 2 times that of North America, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa .

This year, Amazon said that the cumulative export value of Indian cross-border sellers has exceeded the $5 billion mark . Since 2015, its Global Sales program has attracted more than 100,000 Indian sellers to join .
