With over 130,000 reviews, the hit product of Meiya BS has failed!

Recently, a woman from California , USA , filed a lawsuit against mattress brand Zinus , claiming that the mattresses sold by the brand seriously affected the health of her and her family and caused a loss of $20,000.

It is understood that this mattress ranks first on Amazon's mattress best-selling list, with 134,800 reviews and an average star rating of four and a half stars.

Plaintiff Vanessa Gutierrez filed a lawsuit against the brand Zinus , alleging that the fiberglass contained in the mattress seriously endangered the health of her family. After using the mattress, she suddenly found that her 5-month-old child had "sores and rashes" on his body, and her 9-year-old child began to have asthma attacks, and she had to take her child to multiple treatments.

The lawsuit filed by the plaintiffs also alleges that the fiberglass - containing mattresses contaminated their apartment , forcing them to temporarily move and discard thousands of dollars worth of clothing, bedding and furniture.

It is understood that many "mattresses" currently sold on the Amazon platform contain glass fiber , which is mainly used as a flame retardant to improve the fire resistance of the product .

But fiberglass is harmful to your health. According to the Washington State Department of Health , direct contact with fiberglass or inhalation of airborne dust containing fiberglass may irritate the skin, eyes, nose and throat, and continued exposure may aggravate existing asthma or bronchial diseases.

Currently, 2,000 consumers from across the United States claim that Zinus mattresses have affected their health. They are preparing to launch a class action lawsuit, which is currently awaiting approval of the rating certification .

A Zinus spokesman said the flame-retardant materials used to make the mattresses meet safety standards and are considered non-hazardous by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The company also said its mattress labels show consumers the main materials of the mattress and warn consumers not to open or remove the mattress cover that acts as a protective barrier.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission also stated that mattresses containing fiberglass have a protective cover that separates the fiberglass layer from the consumer and ensures that its fire-resistant properties continue to be effective . If the mattress cover is intact , the potential for exposure to fiberglass particles is expected to be low.

However, plaintiff Vanessa Gutierrez said she never removed the protective cover of the mattress , but the mattress still affected their health.

At present, the brand Zinus has not made any further response .

Household items have always been hot-selling items on Amazon's US site. When sellers sell related products, they must strictly control product quality and carefully evaluate product safety issues.
