It is understood that consumers can now experience various sunglasses products online through Amazon's virtual try-on function. Previously, this function was only available to some brands and merchants.
The update of this feature shows that Amazon is working hard to develop new channels to allow consumers to experience products online without leaving home.
As we all know, the fitting rooms in physical stores are a function that online sellers can never replace.
It is difficult for online merchants to allow consumers to try on products and look at them in front of a mirror during the shopping process.
Nevertheless, developing relevant features to address such issues will be key to solving the high return rate of fashion products.
If consumers can imagine what the clothes will look like on themselves, the probability of returning the goods will be greatly reduced.
It is reported that Amazon also plans to expand the virtual try-on function to other fashion products.
Ruth Diaz, Vice President of Amazon Europe, said: “We are excited to launch another innovative feature for our customers. It is now easy to find your perfect sunglasses online with virtual try-on technology. We will listen to the suggestions of consumers and merchants to optimize this feature and apply it to more categories of products in the future.”
This feature is very simple to use. After consumers find the sunglasses they like, they click the "Virtual Try On" button on the product details page, and then open the front camera of their phone to see how they look in the sunglasses. Finally, they just need to pick out the style they like best.
Consumers can also save images of themselves wearing virtual glasses and share them with friends through social platforms. This feature has also strengthened Amazon's influence on social media platforms to a certain extent. Amazon Virtual Try-On return the goods |
