Amazon handmade sellers can now automate product listings!

Recently, Amazon announced that it will provide automated listing functions for handmade sellers on the platform. From the specific content of the announcement, Amazon said that Amazon Handmade will enable Build International Listings on March 30, 2022, aiming to improve the experience of its platform sales partners in listing products .

In the announcement, Amazon said that although Handmade sales partners have always had the ability to sell their products globally, this process is very dependent on manual processing . In response, Amazon said that by enabling the function of building international product information for sellers , most of the listing work will be automated.

Amazon also reminds sellers that they can use Build International Listings to expand their influence on new stores . For more information about this, sellers can learn more in the Seller Center Help or view the "Build International Product Information Tutorial" on the Amazon Global Selling YouTube channel.

After this function is enabled, it will save a certain amount of time and labor costs for manual sellers on the platform.

Amazon Handmade was launched in October 2015, and currently sellers from more than 80 countries and regions sell products on the platform. In order to ensure the quality of products, Amazon has set higher standards for sellers, and will review each Artisan application and audit production methods.

In terms of platform entry, it is free for sellers to join Amazon Handmade, create stores and publish products, but when sellers start selling products, Amazon Handmade will deduct a 15% sales commission.

In terms of product categories, sellers on Amazon Handmade can sell a variety of products including accessories, art, beauty, clothing, shoes and bags, home furnishings, pet supplies and sporting goods.

Speaking of handmade platforms, Amazon Handmade also has a strong rival, Etsy. Etsy is one of the platforms that handmade sellers consider first. Its net profit in the fourth quarter of 2021 reached US$149 million. As of the end of December 2021, the platform's combined active sellers and active buyers (including Etsy.com) were 5.3 million and 90.1 million, respectively.

Although the two platforms have their own advantages and some sellers will only choose one of them, as the trend of multi-platform operation becomes more and more obvious, more sellers have begun to choose to sell their products on multiple platforms such as Amazon Handmade and Etsy.
