About Opening Ceremony

  • OpeningCeremony was founded by two good friends who graduated from UC Berkeley, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon. In 2002, they opened the first OpeningCeremony store in downtown New York and positioned it as a fashion boutique.
  • The name OpeningCeremony comes from the fact that the two founders like to watch the opening ceremony of the Olympics, so they named the boutique OpeningCeremony, which represents the concept of sports fashion and integrates the essence of the world.
