Recently, Amazon announced that it will shorten the payment time for sellers. It is understood that the time will be shortened from the original 14 days to 3 days. However, since the plan is still in a trial state, only some sellers have received this notice .
Previously, in order to ensure that the goods could actually reach the hands of the buyers, the sellers’ sales funds could not be circulated normally for a period of time, and the longer the time, the more subsequent businesses would be affected. After the time is reduced to 3 days, the overall operational efficiency of the sellers will be greatly improved.
Amazon said that in order to allow sellers to receive Amazon payments faster . Starting December 16, 2021, the retention policy for all orders with confirmed delivery will be three days after the actual delivery date . For example, if the seller ships on January 1 and the actual delivery date is January 5, the sales revenue will be paid starting on January 9. For orders without carrier delivery information, sales revenue will continue to be retained for 7 days after the latest estimated delivery date of the order .
As for the reason for piloting the program, Amazon said that this was in response to feedback from sellers. They launched this pilot program to ensure that sellers with good performance receive payments faster.
Specifically, Amazon selected sellers with good performance to participate in this pilot program because of their low order defect rates . At the same time, Amazon said it would reserve the right to adjust these payment intervals due to performance issues or unusual activity related to the seller's account . In this case , sellers can find messages from Amazon and other details in the performance notification .
It is worth noting that Amazon will continue to monitor seller performance indicators during the pilot period and may decide to suspend the pilot program at its own discretion. However, Amazon said that if the pilot program is stopped , sellers will be notified two weeks in advance .
Amazon also proposed a solution for some sellers who are unwilling to participate in the program. Amazon said that if there are sellers who do not want to participate in this pilot program, they can contact them to withdraw.
Although this event has not yet been fully launched, it is undoubtedly good news for Amazon sellers. At least it sends a positive signal in the recent complex environment. Amazon Refund Pilot |
