Another clothing problem: five types of children's pajamas recalled

Recall incidents are not uncommon and involve a wide range of categories, with children's products being the hardest hit. Children's pajamas are also not uncommon. In recent times, there have been many cases of pajamas being recalled .

Recently, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ( CPSC) announced the recall of a batch of children's pajamas. The recall involves the following five models, all of which are two-piece sets.

The first is summer pajamas, made of 60% cotton and 40% polyester, a two-piece set of short-sleeved top and shorts with a "Matilda Roald Dahl" print on it, suitable for children aged 3-8.

The other four are long suits. Two are made of 100% cotton, one features a white and blue check print, a racing embroidery on the front, a button closure on the top and an elastic waistband on the pants. The other has a monster print all over and is suitable for children aged 1-6.

The remaining two styles include a navy blue long-sleeved top with three buttons at the top and are suitable for children aged 1 to 12. The final style is made of 95% cotton and 5% stretch jersey with a 100% polyester fine mesh overlay, and the pajama set features broderie anglaise inlays, a pink satin bow on the top, and matching ruffle trims on the cuffs and anklets.

The above pajamas were sold online through the childrensalon website from April 2019 to February 2021, with prices ranging from US$35 to US$54. They were manufactured in India, China, and Europe.

The recall was due to the fact that these children's pajamas do not meet the flammability standards for children's pajamas in the United States, posing a risk of burns to children . No accident reports have been received so far. According to the advice of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, consumers should stop using them immediately and contact the seller to return them for a full refund.

Combined with previous cases, most of the children's pajamas were recalled because they did not meet the flammability standards . Although the possibility of burns is very low, since there is such a standard, sellers still need to pay attention to meeting the requirements.

In addition to pajamas, toys are also often recalled. Safety is of no importance, and sellers of children's products must strictly control product quality.
