Amazon sellers are helpless when Prime members steal products

Amazon sellers are helpless when Prime members steal products

Recently, the editor learned from the official Amazon seller forum that some sellers reported that their products were sold on Walmart and delivered through Amazon Fulfillment ( FBA) services.

The seller, homebrew, said that he accidentally discovered that someone else was selling his product on Walmart. Since homebrew only sells on the Amazon platform, he decided to place an order to check the details. Later, homebrew received a logistics tracking number from FedEx. The courier was delivered by an Amazon deliveryman, and the seller compared it with the products in Remove Unfulfillable Inventory and found that it was his product.

In addition, according to the order details, the product also comes with a gift message: Thank you for your order, from XYZZahn LLC. Homebrew is worried that Amazon robots will record someone buying their products and sending them to their addresses, causing an impact on their rankings, so they asked sellers for help on the forum, hoping to learn how to extract sales reports and filter only Gifted or Gift Options orders.

Many buyers also expressed their opinions below the forum.

Seller A: I would report this seller on Walmart and notify Amazon. They are abusing their Prime benefits and Amazon will ban their buyer account if you report them. Walmart prohibits dropshipping from Amazon so you will probably get their seller account banned there.

Seller B: You need to request a refund from Walmart and indicate that it came from Amazon and used a fake FedEx tracking number. Send them the Amazon TBA number. If you are not a seller on Walmart, a review of "Amazon Direct" will also help.

Seller C: This already happens on every marketplace. What you can do is first confirm that your order was shipped via Prime and that it states "Customer". You can then identify the order (from the packing slip) and forward it to Amazon to investigate the abuse of Prime membership to sell on other platforms and use Prime to get free shipping. This will usually result in that customer's Prime account being suspended and possibly banned.
