A large number of links on the Amazon website have been removed, and Christmas sales may be affected

Amazon has always taken intellectual property infringement very seriously. Once this red line is crossed, the product will be removed from the shelves at best, and the seller may be banned at worst. On Christmas Eve, if a product link is found to be infringing, it will be a big loss for the seller.

Recently, when browsing the official forum of Amazon US, the editor noticed that some sellers reported that they had received nearly 100 emails from Amazon, informing them that some of their products were suspected of infringing intellectual property rights.

The seller named "fz" said that he received about 90 emails about suspected infringement of products last Friday, and the number is still increasing. The list of IPs involved includes WWE, Disney, Dragon Ball Z, Doctor Who, Celine Dion, Genesis, etc. At present, these products have been removed from Amazon.

It is understood that " fz" did not sell counterfeit products of these IPs, but only mentioned these trademark names in his product titles , and then was removed from the shelves by Amazon in the name of intellectual property infringement. "fz" was very confused about this behavior, saying: "If Doctor Who is not marked in the product name, how can consumers order Doctor Who DVDs?"

Under this post, a large number of sellers said they had encountered the same thing. These sellers also received hundreds of suspected infringement emails. They felt that Amazon's robot system "seemed crazy", and even some products that had been discontinued for sale had received infringement notices.

Some sellers believe that the large number of product links that were removed at the same time due to suspected infringement may be because Amazon has added new trademarks to their system. However, the Amazon system does not judge whether the product is really involved in infringement, and will simply and roughly remove it from the shelves.

The product links were removed on Christmas Eve, which will have a certain impact on the sellers’ Christmas sales. Some experienced sellers concluded that in this case, they can only modify the product titles, try to avoid trademark words that may involve infringement, and then file a complaint with Amazon.
