JD.com's cross-border export e-commerce platform JOYBUY will be upgraded to a cross-border B2B transaction and service platform

Today, JOYBUY, a cross-border e-commerce export platform under JD.com, issued an announcement that in order to help more Chinese companies and Chinese brands expand their cross-border business overseas, JOYBUY will be upgraded to a cross-border B2B transaction and service platform to better serve global buyers and sellers.


JOYBUY is one of JD.com's cross-border businesses. According to people familiar with the matter, the upgraded JOYBUY will continue to serve cross-border e-commerce users and use JD.com's digital supply chain capabilities to help small and medium-sized cross-border sellers and buyers at home and abroad.


As the pioneer of JD Group's overseas expansion, JD International consists of three major sectors: local e-commerce, cross-border business, and technical services. In terms of local e-commerce, JD has been deploying in Southeast Asia since 2015. JD has established e-commerce joint ventures JD Indonesia (JD.ID) and JD Thailand (JD CENTRAL) with local partners in Indonesia and Thailand. JD Indonesia has built 18 storage centers and a distribution network covering 90% of provinces. JD Thailand has become the e-commerce platform with the highest score in Google Store. JD Global's cross-border business sales increased by 251% year-on-year in 2020, providing merchants with four major solutions for going overseas: one-stop global, JD self-operated, direct contracting, and local store opening.


In addition, by building a global route network and a local warehouse network, JD International has also opened up the entire chain of air transportation, overseas warehousing and terminal distribution, greatly improving the speed of cross-border freight. Data shows that as of the first half of 2021, it has about 50 bonded warehouses and overseas warehouses in the world, covering the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and other countries, with a total management area of ​​more than 500,000 square meters. In the future, JD also plans to establish large-scale warehouses and reverse disposal centers in Europe to upgrade the after-sales service experience of cross-border e-commerce.
