Recently, an operator reported that his Amazon boutique operation company had blocked five accounts in a row within a week . Now the company requires it to completely abandon the previous operation concept of focusing on fake orders and fully transform to compliant operations.

 

When launching new products, if you choose to operate in compliance, you need to fully comply with the platform rules. How should you determine your operating strategy?

 

First, after selecting a product, you need to determine the product's sales target (ranking and sales volume). Refer to the ranking of the same or similar products in the same category to determine the product's target ranking, and then calculate the daily and monthly sales volume of the product (both the traffic-generating and non-traffic-generating models) based on the target ranking.

 

The second step is to prepare the inventory. The inventory quantity needs to refer to the calculated daily and monthly sales of the product, and then determine the first and second batch delivery quantities based on the product delivery cycle. If you need to participate in Amazon Vine or internal promotional activities on the platform, the delivery quantity can be appropriately increased.

 

The third step is to determine the advertising promotion plan on the site. First, determine the advertising budget. Combined with the average price of the product and the daily sales volume that has been determined, the daily sales of the product can be calculated. According to your own acceptance, determine the percentage of advertising budget to sales ( 5%, 10% or higher), and then calculate the single-day advertising budget.

 

Then determine the number of ad groups, whether to open both manual and automatic ad groups or just one, and allocate the budget reasonably. Generally, the budget of manual ad groups is larger than that of automatic ad groups. The advertising budget can also be increased or decreased based on the performance of the product in the later stage.

 

Finally, determine the keywords for the automatic ad group. On the one hand, you can choose from the product keywords in the previous research, and on the other hand, you can use the Amazon brand analysis function to view the main keywords of competing products and the keywords with high traffic in related categories.

 

The fourth step is to promote the product according to the established operation and promotion plan after it is launched. Try to complete the established sales target during the traffic support period and accumulate a good weight.

 

Amazon has always had zero tolerance for violations of platform rules. Especially since this year, various policies have emerged one after another, and more and more sellers have been affected by Amazon's "revenge". From this point of view, only compliant operations can go further.
