Currently, Tik Tok has over 1 billion monthly active users worldwide, a 45% increase since July 2020. With a huge traffic pool and the gradual improvement of shopping cart functions, more and more companies and sellers are eyeing Tik Tok as a future "explosive tool".

 

Amazon has also seen the traffic code of Tik Tok. According to foreign media reports, Amazon announced the introduction of Tik Tok client for Fire TV in North America. Fire TV users in the United States and Canada can search and download Tik Tok on the Fire TV platform.

 

It is understood that users can download Tik Tok in the Amazon store, and after logging in or creating an account, users only need to say "Alexa, open Tik Tok" to open the program through the Alexa voice assistant and watch videos on the TV. They can also use the Alexa voice remote control to perform "play" and "pause" commands.

 

Tik Tok on Fire TV also provides sections such as "Follow", "Personalization", and "Discovery", and the interface and other operations are not much different from the mobile version. When watching videos on mobile devices, users need to manually swipe to view the next video, while the TV client also has an automatic continuous playback function, which avoids users from frequently clicking buttons and other actions.

 

Different functions are updated according to different clients. Although it is a subtle change, it will also bring users a more comfortable experience. This is also very helpful to increase the frequency of user use. And using a large screen to watch videos will also bring another kind of pleasure to Tik Tok fans.

 

 

Fire TV is a series of Internet set-top boxes and mini game consoles developed by Amazon. Fire TV can connect to the Internet and output streaming media to HDTVs. Users can operate Fire TV with a remote control or game controller.

 

According to statistics from the platform, as of the end of 2020, the monthly active users of Fire TV had reached 50 million, an increase of approximately 10 million from the data at the beginning of the year.

 

This growth rate will also help Amazon expand the audience of its advertising business. Currently, the number of monthly active viewers of ad-supported OTT content has exceeded 55 million. This is a placement option worth considering for businesses and sellers.

 

It is understood that this is not the first time that Tik Tok has "entered" the big screen. Previously, Tik Tok has introduced clients on Google TV, Android TV and some Samsung smart TVs.

 

Amazon has 300 million users worldwide. This move can deepen the connection between Tik Tok and Amazon. Consumers from Amazon can also more easily see the brand promotion content on Tik Tok, and it can also attract Tik Tok users to browse and consume on Amazon. It plays a complementary role in increasing traffic and product exposure for both parties.
