The new app provides a shopping browser. Through this browser, users can go to any online store to shop. The app will also recommend content based on the user's preferences, unlock exclusive offers and price drop notifications, track all items purchased from Klarna and non-Klarna, display spending overviews and monthly budgets, and provide payment and return management services.
In addition, Klarna said that the new shopping feature enables users to make interest-free and flexible payments at all online retailers, whether they partner with Klarna or not. Users can create a one-time virtual payment card that can be used in any online store.
Klarna also stressed that other features will be launched in succession, including collective membership cards, money-saving tools, social functions, etc.
The new app is currently available in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Poland and France, and can be downloaded on iOS and Android mobile devices.
Klarna analysis shows that mobile commerce continues to grow at an astonishing rate, with retail app downloads growing 36% and in-app purchases growing 54% over the past two years.
While the rise of e-commerce has made shopping easier than ever before, it has also created friction throughout the shopping process. Today, people want streamlined, integrated experiences that respond to their specific needs while also saving them time and money.
In a recent survey conducted by Klarna, 70% of consumers said they would choose a shopping app that allowed them to perform multiple actions rather than switching between different apps. More than 68% of respondents said that simplifying the shopping process and saving time were the two most significant benefits.
Klarna CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski said: “With the introduction of our new app, Klarna will become a platform that meets the needs of most users.”
Will one-stop shopping apps become a trend in the future? We will have to wait and see. One-stop shopping APP |
