Tens of thousands of infringing products have been seized, sellers should beware

Foreign countries attach great importance to the protection of intellectual property rights. Infringement has always been a taboo in cross-border e-commerce, especially for Amazon sellers. At the very least, the listing will be removed from the shelves, and at worst, the store will be closed. There are always people who are lucky enough to know that some obviously infringing products cannot even pass the customs, let alone be sold.

Recently, various customs have seized and dealt with tens of thousands of infringing products, involving multiple categories in daily life.

cosmetic

When inspecting, the customs officers of Beilun Customs found that the goods did not match the declaration. They were declared as curtain racks, but the actual products were all cosmetics. After verification, it was found that these goods were all infringing products, involving multiple trademarks such as "CATRICE", "Maybelline", "HUDABEAUTY", etc., with a total of about 60,000 products.

After inquiry, these are all well-known foreign beauty brands.

The same thing happened at Beilun Customs. A batch of goods was declared as blenders and mixers. When the staff checked the goods, they found that the actual goods were all blenders, and some of the products also used the "KENWOOD" trademark . After verification, it was found that this "KENWOOD" has trademark rights. The goods have been detained.

After the editor's inquiry, "KENWOOD" is a British kitchenware brand, founded in 1947, with a history of more than 70 years. It seems that it is plagiarized from a foreign brand, and this is the second batch of infringing products of the trademark. Relevant kitchenware sellers should remember to check and avoid it, and not take shortcuts.

In addition to the above two types, there are also mobile phone cases that infringe the "POCO" Xiaomi trademark, filter elements with the "LG" trademark, hair dryers with the "dyson" trademark, and even pirated "Moutai" and "Red Bull", etc. Not to mention unpopular foreign products, they even dare to take risks with popular products that can be seen through at a glance.

"Selling counterfeit brands makes money quickly. After the incident, I can switch to another platform and make as much money as possible." Many infringing sellers have this kind of fluke mentality and lose the most basic conscience of sellers in order to make quick money.

Truth will come to light sooner or later, and fraud will eventually be exposed. Sellers should still pay attention to operating in compliance with regulations, and steady and long-term development is the right path.
