What is Intermarché? Intermarché Review, Features

Intermarché is a famous supermarket chain in France. It belongs to the large retail group "Les Mousquetaires". It was founded by Jean-Pierre Le Roch in 1969, formerly known as EX Offices, and changed its name to Intermarche in 1973. By 2011, Intermarche had 1,800 branches in France. The total business area exceeds 2,660,000 square meters.

Development History

- In 1988, the first Intermarche opened in Spain, Les Mousquetaires in 1991 in Portugal and Belgium, and in 1997 in Poland.

In 1989, Les Mousquetaires founded the hard-discount brand CDM (Comptoir des Marchandises), which became Netto in 2001.

-In 1996, in Belgium, Base de Villers-le-Bouillet opened to serve the Belgian points of sale.

- In 1997, Les Mousquetaires established a DIY alliance with Rona in Quebec and created ARENA, the European DIY Purchasing Center.

-In 2017, Rebecq department store opened, with a total of 78 stores.
