Newegg mistakenly shipped Intel's 12th-generation processors ahead of schedule

Recently, there was news that the North American e-commerce platform Newegg sent Intel processors that had not yet been officially sold to buyers.

On a foreign forum Reddit, someone posted a post saying that he had received the Intel 12th generation Core processor (codenamed Alder Lake) purchased from Newegg. In the comment section of the post, many people said that they had also received Intel's latest version of the processor.

However, it should be noted that Intel's 12th generation Core processor and the matching Z690 chipset motherboard are only available for pre-sale now and will not be officially available for sale until November 4.

Now that Newegg has shipped the processors to buyers, it may face Intel's accountability. Newegg seems to have discovered this problem and is calling all buyers who have or will receive the above-mentioned processors and asking them not to share any information related to these orders with the outside world. At present, many buyers have received calls from Newegg.

Fortunately for Newegg, Intel had already disclosed details about the new processor at an event called "Intel InnovatiON" on October 28, so even if buyers received the product in advance, there would be no new information to dig up.

According to Intel, the 12th generation Core processors demonstrate faster processing speeds in terms of gaming performance, multi-tasking content creation, etc., and can improve photo editing performance by up to 36%, video editing performance by up to 32%, 3D modeling performance by up to 37%, and multi-frame rendering speed by up to 100%.

In addition, since retailers such as Newegg have not yet dispatched the Z690 motherboards, sellers who have received the goods cannot test them.

But no matter what, Newegg leaked Intel's new products to the outside world in advance, which will affect the brand and customers' trust in it.

According to data, Newegg mainly sells consumer electronics, games, smart home and other technology products. The platform has accumulated more than 47 million users. Electronic products have always been a key area of focus for Chinese sellers going overseas. At present, many sellers have paid attention to this platform and have settled in to operate. It can be said that the quality of Newegg's own platform construction will more or less affect the interests of sellers.
