Ozon opened a sorting center in Belarus and launched it under the company’s logistics service brand, Ozon Rocket .
With the opening of the Ozon Rocket sorting center in Minsk , Ozon will be able to deliver products not only to Russian buyers , but also to Belarusian buyers . Thus, the development of infrastructure in Belarus will open sales channels for local sellers (previously they could only sell to the Russian Federation through Ozon), and also expand delivery options: previously, sellers had to move goods themselves or find contractors among transport companies.
Today, to ship orders to Russia or Belarus , sellers only need to bring their packages to an Ozon Rocket sorting center, from where they will be delivered to buyers via Ozon and its partners. Belarus does not yet have its own Ozon order pickup point, but can send packages from 3,400 delivery points across the country .
If it is more convenient for sellers to deliver orders to various places in the Russian Federation and Belarus by themselves, they can still do so. In addition, the sorting center currently does not accept car and motorcycle tires, as well as large shipments .
From March to September 2021, Belarusian sellers’ sales on Ozon increased more than fivefold , and this number is expected to continue to grow .
"As sales grow, sellers' demand for quality logistics is also growing, so we are investing a lot of resources and energy in the development of infrastructure. The Ozon Rocket sorting center is our first facility in the region. In the near future, we will open Ozon order pickup points based on a franchise model. Experience in Russia has shown that opening a brand store significantly increases the order frequency of old customers and brings in hundreds of new customers," said the general manager of Ozon Logistics Services .
Ozon launched operations in Belarus in early 2021 , and in addition to expanding logistics infrastructure and improving seller experience, the company intends to increase the number of order release points in the republic. To this end, Ozon has established a partnership with Belpochta - packages can be received in more than 3,000 post offices across the country. Ozon users from Belarus can access the entire range of the site, which also has about 21.77 million products in 20 categories.
Ozon is also continuously increasing its investment to seize more opportunities in the Russian market. Europe Russia Ozon |
