In order to ensure the delivery time of parcels and further enhance the shopping experience of overseas consumers, Cainiao has teamed up with AliExpress to provide merchants with a "late payment" guarantee. That is, when overseas consumers purchase an X-day delivery order with an official warehouse label, they can see the estimated delivery time of the parcel. If the parcel is not delivered within the displayed time, overseas consumers can receive corresponding experience compensation . This service will be officially launched in October to help merchants increase consumer repurchase rates and improve the warehouse delivery time experience mentality.
"As the scale of the cross-border market continues to expand, industry competition is gradually intensifying, and cross-border merchants have to face more and more problems." Zhao Jun, head of Cainiao's export logistics global solutions and growth markets, said at the merchant co-creation meeting that on the one hand, Cainiao will continue to invest in overseas infrastructure to improve the cost-effectiveness of cross-border logistics and assist in supply upgrades. On the other hand, it will continue to explore overseas regional markets, prioritize logistics, and explore new solutions.

For example, in response to the rapidly growing Latin American market in recent years, Cainiao launched five China-South America charter flights per week this year to ensure that Chinese goods fly directly to Brazil . According to data from Cainiao's global parcel network, parcels shipped to Brazil in September increased by more than 200% year-on-year . Cainiao has created efficient cross-border logistics services for Latin American consumers and has achieved " X -day delivery" in Brazil's core metropolitan areas in cooperation with AliExpress . In addition, Cainiao also plans to increase the frequency of charter flights and establish a distribution center in Brazil to increase the local logistics delivery time to the next day or even the same day. It also plans to cooperate with 3-5 local delivery companies to further improve the delivery time and build a logistics network covering Brazil.
Cainiao's domestic distribution center has a peak processing capacity of more than 10 million orders, and has established more than 50 collection warehouses in major cities across the country. It has completed the layout of the optimal warehouse network in North China, East China, South China, Central China, and Hong Kong, and has 80 exclusive trunk charter flights per week to escort domestic products overseas.
In addition to cross-border parcel services, Cainiao combines domestic preferred warehouses, global overseas warehouses and international logistics capabilities to provide cross-border merchants with diversified export supply chain solutions. According to previous reports, Cainiao has more than 30 overseas warehouses around the world, operating overseas warehouses with an area of more than one million square meters. In Europe alone, there are more than 100,000 square meters of export overseas warehouses, including Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Poland, Spain and other countries, covering the 24 EU countries and the entire United Kingdom. The official warehouse can be delivered in the country within 3 days and in Europe within 7 days, and can handle 100,000 orders per day.

Cainiao has also improved the logistics efficiency of cross-border packages through various technological innovations. For example, smart order consolidation will cover 50 countries around the world during this year's Double 11. It will upgrade the logistics efficiency of cross-border packages through economies of scale, reduce the logistics cost of a single package, and allow merchants to upgrade logistics products for free, allowing overseas consumers to "buy more and get it faster."
In March 2021, the average daily cross-border parcel volume of Cainiao's global parcel network exceeded 5 million pieces, continuing to rank among the top four in the world.
