Shopify launches new app to provide better channels for product exposure!


To help merchants better target their audiences and provide them with marketing strategies, Shopify recently introduced a streaming TV app, Roku, on its platform.

 

Using the app will also allow Shopify merchants to easily create, buy and measure TV advertising campaigns to increase brand awareness . Roku will also be the first streaming app available in the Shopify App Store.

 

Merchants need to add the Roku app in the Shopify App Store , then select the audience and campaign details, such as budget, time and duration, and then upload creative content. With just a few simple operations, merchants can enable TV advertising campaigns and deliver their brands and messages directly to the living room TVs of tens of millions of households .

 

Amir Kabbara, Product Director at Shopify, said : "At Shopify, we are focused on helping merchants reach more consumers, increase their sales and build a thriving business. And with the Roku app , merchants can bring their products directly to the TV screen while allowing consumers to discover exciting new brands directly in their living rooms. " Using Roku can not only help merchants increase product exposure and increase sales. It also makes it easier for consumers to discover and purchase their favorite products.


 

According to analysis, one of the reasons why more and more brands are turning to TV streaming advertising is that streaming media has increased exposure to products. According to a recent holiday shopping poll by Roku and The Harris Poll, nearly half (49%) of respondents said they had seen an ad on a TV device and paused the TV to buy the product online. This data has increased significantly compared to 2020.

 

Roku is the number one TV streaming platform in the U.S. It pioneered streaming to TV, connecting users to their favorite streaming content, enabling the content to attract a large audience and allowing businesses to profit from it.

 

Jared Lefkowitz, senior director of advertising revenue strategy at Roku, said the trend of using TV streaming to create TV advertising campaigns is accelerating . Roku can provide advertising solutions for top brands, low search volume, and low-activity sellers, allowing small and medium-sized enterprises to reach a larger customer base and increase sales.

 

Roku has been thriving as an advertising tool. As of the second quarter of 2021, the platform had approximately 55.1 million active users, and it was estimated to have served more ad impressions than any other TV streaming platform in the fourth quarter of 2020.
