Thailand's Ministry of Development, Shopee and Lazada launch "one store, one live broadcast" model to help small and medium-sized enterprises grow

According to foreign media reports, Shopee and Lazada have jointly launched the "One Store One Live Broadcast" model to help small and medium-sized enterprises develop. This model is prepared to increase sales channels and boost sales for the 100 community product entrepreneurs participating in the project by organizing live broadcasts to sell products.

 

At present, the sales of community product operators participating in the event have increased by 10%, the coverage and popularity have increased by 237%, and the number of viewers during the live broadcast has exceeded 10,000. This model has become a good starting point for promoting the development of local online e-commerce merchants.

 

Thosapol Thangsubut, director general of the Department of Commerce and Industry , said that the '1 Shop 1 Live' event, jointly launched by Shopee and Lazada, provides small and medium-sized entrepreneurs with the opportunity to sell their products online. By recruiting experts with specific knowledge to share sales experience, it helps companies analyze their weaknesses and strengths in order to develop guidelines for developing marketing management.

 

In addition , Thosapol Thangsubut emphasized that the event will also help entrepreneurs promote and publicize product sales , increase the coverage and visibility of online sales , and increase store visibility . At the same time, Thosapol Thangsubut said that the Ministry of Business Development will participate in the program to promote and create trade opportunities for more small and medium-sized entrepreneurs and help more entrepreneurs overcome the sales crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

The results of the survey conducted by the Office of the National Digital Economy and Society Committee (NHSO) of Thailand on the third phase of the Digital Outlook Project on September 2, 2021 showed that more and more people accept and trust the use of e- commerce, and the number of people purchasing goods and services from online channels has continued to rise, from 37.7% to 76.6%. Thailand has become one of the countries with the highest proportion of online payments through mobile banking . At present, Thais spend an average of 6-10 hours a day on the Internet . Among them, online shopping accounts for 71.1% and online financial transactions account for 54.7%.

 

Ms. Sakawduen Wongtrakul, Executive Director of Shopee, and Mr. Weerapong Ko, Chief Operating Officer of Lazada, said that they will step up cooperation with government departments to provide a faster sales platform to connect sellers and buyers, help small and medium-sized enterprises overcome the sales crisis caused by the epidemic and expand their turnover.
